Guidelines for a Safe and Successful Pop-Up During COVID-19
In 2022, there is no area of work that the pandemic hasn't affected. Pop Up Retail is no different.
With this 'new normal' comes new ways of working in order to be safe and responsible while running a business.
Social Distancing
For safety reasons, it is best to aim to keep customers at a minimum of a one-metre distance from each other at all times. A useful recommendation for compliance with this regulation is to use floor stickers indicating exactly how far apart customers should stand when queuing, or browsing in-store.
Cleaning and Disinfection
Place disinfectant gel at the entrance of your store so that customers may disinfect their hands as they enter. Clean and disinfect all products every time a customer touches them, as well as disinfecting the areas surrounding your pop-up.
Protect your Employees
Your employees are exposed to many customers every day, and it is therefore extremely important that they feel safe and looked after. Provide all employees with masks, protective, and hand sanitiser at all work stations. Consider purchasing branded face-masks for your employees so that they can represent the brand while staying safe. These measures also keep the customer safe when visiting your pop-up.
QR Codes
A growing trend, particularly since the onset of COVID, is the use of adding scannable QR codes to your products. This is a very simple process that can be done using many online applications. Providing QR codes allows the customer to inspect and gather information on your product, without the need to pick it up and handle it themselves. This results in a decreased risk of contagion since the customer doesn't touch the products.
Safety and responsibility at the forefront of any successful pop-up shop, now more than ever.
